The Porta Pila Tapes: Allison Anders in Venice, 1996 - part one

The Porta Pila Tapes:
Allison Anders in Venice, 1996 - part one

Interview (english/italian with interpreter) on 1st ep. of Four Rooms and Grace of My Heart.

This interview takes place at the Mostra Internazionale del Cinema di Venezia in 1996.
Here the filmmaker Allison Anders talks about her The Missing Ingredient (1st segment of the movie Four Rooms) and Grace of My Heart. Both of the movies were part of the program of the Mostra in Venice (1996).

The interviewer, supported by an excellent interpreter, probably represents a movie-specialized bolognese magazine.
The voices featuring this audioclip could be the owners of a document that, till now, was lost in space and time.

Notes:

1. The Missing Ingredient (Four Rooms)
Honeymoon Suite - "The Missing Ingredient". Written and directed by Allison Anders.
Ted, the concierge, is taken into the strange behaviour of a coven of witches, attempting to create a potion to reverse a spell cast on their goddess decades ago. In order to create the potion, each witch must place an ingredient into a large cauldron in a ritual. One of the witches has to seduce Ted to get the missing ingredient.

2. Grace of My Heart
Grace of My Heart is a 1996 film written and directed by Allison Anders.
The plot follows the personal life and career trajectory of its protagonist, Denise Waverly. The soundtrack features a variety of songs by such artists as Burt Bacharach, Elvis Costello, Joni Mitchell, and Jill Sobule, which replicate the musical style that emerged from the Brill Building, New York's music factory during the heyday of girl groups and "pre-fab" acts like The Monkees.
