Open'er Festival 2012
The Heineken Open'er Festival is the largest Polish open-air music and performing arts festival. The total area of the festival in Babie Doly airfield makes 75 hectares of space for one to explore and contains 7 stages, around 120 artists, festival town with merchandising area, gastronomic zones, camp site, beach, sea and sun, space for sports activities and multimedia, NGO, films, theaters and performances.

Each festival goer is obliged to comply with Festival regulations (available at www.opener.pl, www.heineken.pl as well as in information points at the Festival area) which are directed to all people staying at the Event area.

ARRIVAL: Information on blockages, planned road works and deviations will be posted at www.opener.pl.
INFORMATION FOR THE DISABLED: There will be special platforms for people with disabilities with view of Main Stage, Tent Stage and World Stage, with volunteers to assist you.
DO NOT BRING THE FOLLOWING ITEMS TO THE FESTIVAL: Digital cameras with more than 5.0 mpx. All professional cameras are prohibited. • Umbrellas with pointy endings • Dangerous items (knives, sharp tools, weapons, laser pointers etc.) • Alcohol, drugs etc. • The full list of forbidden items is available in the Regulations at www.opener.pl
TOILETS AND WASH-BASINS: At the festival area toilets and wash-basins will be available. At the camp site there will be also shower cabins.
EXCHANGING TICKETS FOR WRISTBANDS: One day tickets, 2- and 4-day tickets will be exchanged for wristbands; a wristband can be used by one person only; damaging or tearing off the wristband makes it invalid; the resale of wristbands is forbidden • You can exchange the ticket for a wristband before the entrance at the festival area (open from July 4 from 1:00 pm, from 3 pm on the remaining days).
Additional ticket exchange point (not applicable for electronic tickets, VIP tickets or camping field tickets) is located near the Main Railway Station in Gdynia (Gdynia Główna) and opened from July 3.
Opening hours:
• 03.07: 9:00 am-9:00 pm
• 04-06.07: 9:00 am-12:00 midnight
• 07.07: 9:00 am-9:00 pm
In order to avoid waiting in additional exchange point, exchange the ticket at the festival entrance. Remember, most festival goers exchange their tickets on the first day of the festival. To avoid queues, arrive at the festival area at least two hours prior to the gig you want to see.
2. CAMPING
THE CAMPING AREA: Open from noon on July 3 to 6 pm on July 8. Accessible for festival goers with camping area tickets. Catering zone open 24 hours a day, soft drink point and cash machine and festival cash desks where you can buy festival coupons are available for your convenience.
MOBILE CHARGING ECO POINT: In cooperation with our eco partners, an eco charging point for mobile phones is provided in the camping area.
CAMPERS AND CARAVANS: The camper/caravan fee for parking in the area amounts to PLN 400 (ca. EUR 97) per camper/caravan. A special ticket is available in Alter Art online store. All persons staying in the camp must have camping area tickets. Maximum capacity per camper/caravan is 8 people.
3. PARKING
PARKING FOR PERSONS STAYING IN CAMPING AREA: Entrance to the parking from Zielona Street. The parking is paid, supervised- unguarded. The fee is PLN 20 (ca. EUR 5) per entrance, so if you leave your car at the parking and not leave during the festival, all you pay is PLN 20. The parking is open 24 hrs from July 3 noon until 6 pm on July 8.
PARKING FOR OTHER FESTIVAL GUESTS: Parking for festival goers is situated from Kosakowo (Wiejska Street) – parking is paid, supervised- unguarded. You can leave your bike there for free. Parking lot is open every day of festival from 3:00 p.m. and costs 20 PLN for each entrance • Attention! Cars left overnight (not picked up till 6:00 a.m) will be treated as if having entered the parking lot again, payment for additional days will be accepted upon exiting the parking lot. • IN CASE OF HEAVY RAIN... we kindly request you leave your car at the car park in the city centre and use our special free shuttle buses to get to festival area.
4. HOW TO GET THERE
BUSES: Special shuttle buses operate from Main Railway Station in Gdynia (Gdynia Główna) to Gdynia-Kosakowo Airfield (stop on Zielona street; buses operate every few minutes until the end of each day of the event). You can also get to the festival area with city buses 209 and 109.
Festival bus timetable:
• July 3 – 8:00am - ca. 2:00 am (the next day),
• July 4-6 – 8:00 - ca. 6 (the next day),
• July 8 – 8:00 - ca. 6pm.
SKM (Fast Urban Railway)
This year for the third time, the city of Gdynia in cooperation with Alter Art enables you to buy special Heineken Open'er SKM (Fast Urban Railway) tickets! You can already buy the special SKM ticket in ALTERSKLEP, then, exchange it for an SKM wristband in one of two exchange points at the festival... and you can travel as much as you like between Tczew and Wejherowo stations! This year, the SKM wristband enables you to ride for free for two days longer, from July 3 noon until July 8 at 6:00 pm, within camping area opening times.
You can exchange the ticket:
- in points of exchanging electronic tickets for wristbands situated by the camping area, open from 12:00 noon on July 3 until 10:00 pm on July 6.
- in points of exchanging electronic tickets for wristbands situated by the entrance from Kosakowo and from the direction of Babie Doły. Both points will be open from 1:00 pm on July 4 and from 3:00 pm on the following festival dates.
If you want to exchange the ticket into SKM wristband, you have to produce a 4- or 2- day Heineken Open’er Festival 2012 wristband. On July 3 and 4, the printed SKM TICKET, along with the ID with the first and last name of the ticket bearer ready for inspection, enables you to a one-way trip on an SKM train only in the direction of Gdynia Główna station. Other trips are only possible with both SKM and Heineken Open'er Festival 2012 wristbands on your wrist. Removed or cut wristbands are invalid. The wristbands enable you to travel by the SKM city rail on all routes limited by Tczew and Wejherowo stations from 12:00 noon on July 3 until 6 pm on July 8 18:00.
